Searching for the best job for you, a job hunter can often feel like a daunting challenge.
But a new report from CareerBuilder suggests that the job hunt is getting easier.
In fact, the majority of jobs are becoming more popular, even as employers are looking to cut costs.
And as jobs become more accessible, job seekers are getting smarter about what they’re looking for.
“You have more job seekers who are more likely to take advantage of the more inclusive opportunities, and they are looking for more diverse career paths, and there’s more interest in careers in technology, arts, and sports,” said Tom Nogales, the chief executive of CareerBuilder, a career site.
He said that the jobs available are getting more diverse.
“The median salary for people who are employed in STEM-related fields is now $76,000,” Nogale said.
“We’re seeing a growing number of job seekers in arts and design, health care, media, and more.
And that’s really great news for people of color.”
For example, black job seekers will see an increase in job opportunities as employers increasingly recognize their skills and ability.
And Hispanic job seekers might benefit from a career in health care and education.
“It is definitely a trend that is occurring,” said Nogalez.
“There is an increase of diversity among those looking for jobs in this arena.”
