Israel’s hunt for high-paying jobs has been taking off since the last election, with the Israeli Chamber of Commerce estimating that job hunters now make up 25 percent of the workforce.
Job hunting is still a relatively new field for Israel, and many Israelis are reluctant to get involved.
Yet there is a growing number of job seekers who say they are looking for the kind of jobs that could be paid well, with salaries in the thousands of shekels (roughly $30,000), and with no union protection.
And as the Israeli economy grows and Israelis gain more independence, many are worried that the job market is set to continue to suffer.
Job seekers and job brokers agree that job hunting is one of the hottest topics in Israel.
“It’s a trend that is growing at a faster pace,” said Rachel Yossa, a job seeker at Job Hunting and Recruitment in Tel Aviv.
“I would be a job hunter if I was on my own.”
Job seekers are often discouraged from entering the job hunting market by the lack of security.
While many jobs are in the public sector, there is still no official protection for job seekers.
A lack of information and the fear of losing your job if you don’t prove your qualifications for a job makes many job seekers hesitate.
“The job market for Israel’s young people is terrible, so people don’t think about the job prospects,” said Yoav Tzur, a senior broker at the Job Hunting & Recruitments in Jerusalem.
“In some sectors, you’re considered a low-level employee.
In other sectors, they might be promoted, or they’re hired.
The fear is so strong.”
Job hunting groups say the job-hunting craze is not about the money, but about an obsession with finding the ideal job.
“Many people have a strong interest in finding jobs, and that is why they start looking for them,” said Rabbi Yehuda Ben-Haim of the National Job Hunting Association in Tel-Aviv.
“But we’re also seeing a growing trend among young people to work for a living.”
Job Seekers’ fears are echoed by others, who say job hunting has become a new religion for Israelis.
“There is a whole new breed of job hunters, who are obsessed with finding jobs,” said Yair Sussman, who runs a job-seeking agency in Jerusalem, Job Search.
“Job seekers are trying to make themselves relevant, so they have no choice but to find a job.”
Job-hunters often turn to job forums for guidance, often using the sites like Job Search, Job Hunter and Job Scout.
The websites have gained popularity among job seekers and offer advice, training and advice on finding a job.
For many, it can be a very expensive venture.
“You can go to the Job Hunter forums and start buying things,” said Mitzi Avram, a Job Seeker from Tel Aviv who also goes by the nickname Job Hunt Girl.
“They will give you advice on how to choose a job and then they will buy you some clothes.
You will be completely dependent on them.”
Avram said she was once offered a job with a car-parts company, but she turned it down.
The job search forum also serves as a way for job hunters to connect with potential employers.
“A lot of times, Job Hunting will tell you what your options are and what you should be looking for,” said Avram.
“People are so concerned about what they should do, but it’s really hard to find work.
They are all looking for a way to make money, and they are not very good at finding jobs.”
Many Job Seekters have even turned to their personal blogs, like Job Hunter Job, to get job advice and advice about the industry.
Avram says that in her blog, she tries to keep the tone light.
“Even if I have a lot of posts that I have to write, I try to keep it light.
I don’t want to be too much of a motivational speaker,” she said.
Job Seekors also often post job listings on Job Search and Job Hunter.
While there is no official job-search website in Israel, Job Hunters say that there are other job boards and online job boards, and some job boards have been more helpful than others.
“We are in a big field, and the job boards are often not the best place to find information, or the best places to hire people,” said Job Search President David Kappel.
Job Search is the largest job-seeker site in Israel and is home to a large number of jobs.
Job Hunters said that they often use Job Search boards to advertise their services.
But it can sometimes be difficult for Job Seekees to find job boards that have a positive tone.
“Some boards are very negative,” said Kappels.
“On one job board, you will find job hunters who say that the people on that board don’t care about job seekers
